A Federal appeals court has ruled the government was right in not releasing photos and videos of Osama bin Laden during the 2011 raid on his compound in which he was killed.

A conservative watchdog group called Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the images, but a three-judge panel turned down their appeal, saying the CIA properly withheld publication of the images of the late al-Qaida leader.

They also said images of bin Laden's burial at sea could trigger violence against American citizens.
