Congress on Friday overwhelmingly approved a bill to end furloughs for air traffic controllers.

The House voted 364-to-41 to allow the Federal Aviation Administration to transfer up to $253 million from its other accounts in order to pay for staffing.

The FAA was forced to close towers at smaller airports in addition to the furloughs, due to the massive budget cuts brought on by the sequester.

The furloughs were causing longer delays at airports.

Republicans are accusing the White House of using the issue to put pressure on Congress to lift all of the cuts.
