The City University of New York has a new star professor who's also a four-star general.
David Petraeus, the former CIA director and commander of American forces in Afghanistan, has taken a job as a visiting professor at the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY.
He is expected to teach on public policy, international security and intelligence.
His first day will be August 1.
This is Petraeus' first undergraduate teaching job.
Since his resignation in November following an extramarital affair, Petraeus largely kept out of the public eye.
In an appearance late last month, he described a desire to be a voice on energy, the economy and veterans' issues.
