Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger is being treated at New York-Weill Cornell Medical Center on the Upper East Side, after the 89-year-old is said to have fallen inside his home.

The hospital says Kissinger is there for observation and is expected to be released soon.

Kissinger served as national security adviser and secretary of state under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973.
