Governor Andrew Cuomo and the state legislature have taken a step towards an on-time budget as the 2013-2014 Consensus Economic and Revenue Forecast Report has been finalized and released.
The total agreed upon is $200 million above what the governor originally estimated, but both sides agreed that the upside to the estimate outweighed the potential risks.
Last month, the governor released his $136.5 billion budget plan.
The legislature will need to pass it by April 1 for it to be on time.
