Former Mayor Ed Koch’s condition is improving after being hospitalized for fluid in his lungs and swollen ankles.
He was admitted over the weekend after several friends said he looked lethargic.
A spokesman said doctors told Koch he must reduce his salt intake.
He may be released on Wednesday or Thursday.
The NY1 Wiseguy was in the hospital last month when he was treated for a respiratory infection, just days before his 88th birthday.
He was also treated for anemia in September of 2012.
