Former State and City Comptroller Alan Hevesi has been released from prison.
The 72-year-old left an upstate prison Wednesday morning and returned to his Forest Hills home after serving 20 months of his one to four year sentence.
He had been behind bars since April of last year after pleading guilty to felony corruption charges in a pay-to-play pension fund scandal.
The state Parole Board approved Hevesi's release last month.
He will be on parole through April 2015.
