Former Mayor Ed Koch will be the grand marshal of the 93rd annual Veterans' Day Parade on November 11.

United War Veterans Council President Vincent McGowan says he is recognizing Koch for his ongoing dedication to the city's Vietnam War vets.

During his term as mayor, Koch helped establish the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza and helped organize a "welcome home" parade for veterans.

More than 20,000 military and civilian marchers are expected in this year's parade, which will be held November 11.

Koch is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
