Bloomberg Praises PM Cameron At Conservative Party Conference
Mayor Michael Bloomberg delivered his support to the British Conservative Party on Wednesday, at the party's conference in Birmingham, England.
He praised British officials for their handling of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and credited Prime Minister David Cameron with making politically unpopular decisions to get his country's economy back on track.
The mayor credited Cameron with steady leadership in education, public safety and economic policy, areas where he told the crowd his own administration has excelled as well.
He touted the "special relationship" between the United States and the United Kingdom, saying that though the two are often economic competitors, they are allies first and foremost.
