A former top aide to Rudy Giuliani who went to prison in a corruption scandal has committed suicide, just two months after his father died.
Russell Harding, the son of former Liberal Party leader Ray Harding, was found dead in his apartment in Westchester County a little more than a week ago.
He posted a suicide note on his blog.
Harding, who ran the city’s Housing Development Corporation, pleaded guilty in 2005 to embezzlement and child-pornography charges.
His father also pleaded guilty in a separate corruption scandal.
Ray Harding died of cancer in August.
