Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to host the state's first "beer and wine summit" to showcase all the state has to offer and help the two industries cut deals with state regulators.
New York is the nation's second-leading wine producer, though it's well behind California.
Meanwhile, the state's craft beer industry says it's doubled in size over the past 10 years.
The governor's looking to both industries to help curb the state's 9 percent unemployment rate.
Cuomo previously hosted the first summit for yogurt last August after New York saw a production boom.
