Hundreds of jobs could skate into the Bronx if a proposed complex at the Kingsbridge Armory becomes a reality, according to a new study commissioned by partners involved in the project.
The plan is to create a sports facility with nine ice skating rinks.
The study found it would create construction jobs and permanent positions at the complex.
It also found the project would indirectly result in 500 other jobs because the rink could draw around two million visitors to the area each year.
The plan has the support of a host of politicians, including Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
The mayor's office has said it is considering several proposals.
