Neither President Barack Obama nor Vice President Joe Biden will mark the upcoming anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks in New York.
The President and First Lady will attend several ceremonies honoring the fallen in Washington.
After a moment of silence at the White House, the first couple will pay tribute to those attacked at the Pentagon.
Biden will honor those killed in the crash of United Flight 93.
A ceremony is planned to pay tribute to the passengers who overtook their hijackers in skies over Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

This year marks the 11th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers.
