A fourth soldier connected to the death of Manhattan Army Private Danny Chen was disciplined Thursday.

Sergeant Travis Carden was demoted to the rank of specialist on Thursday and forced to forfeit two-thirds of his pay for one month.

Carden was convicted Wednesday of hazing and maltreating Chen in Afghanistan last year.

Carden called Chen names and forced him to do pushups with a mouth full of water.

Authorities say Chen, seen above, committed suicide after being hazed.

Eight soldiers have been charged in his death.
