Funeral Held For Manhattan Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

Hundreds of family, friends and military personnel gathered in Chinatown Thursday to remember a local soldier killed overseas last week.
Army Private Danny Chen, 19, died while serving in Afghanistan, but his family says his death was not combat related.
They say Chen was bullied by other officers and was injured following an incident in the army barracks. However, they don't believe his death was a suicide.
"Danny was harassed by a group of bullies I would call them, and he was dragged out of bed and beaten. And they have proof of the injuries," said family interpreter Frank Gee.
"They do investigate, you know, and the truth should come out, you know, because the parents should have the right to ask for why my son died," said New York County American Legion Commander Harvard Tang.
Chen, a graduate of Pace High School, grew up in Chinatown and attended Baruch College briefly before enlisting In January.
His parents say he had hoped to become a member of the New York City Police Department after his service.
Chen's body will be buried in Westchester.
The Army says his death is under investigation.
