Flags To Fly At Half-Staff To Honor Manhattan Man Killed In Afghanistan

Flags will be flown at half-staff this Friday to honor a local soldier killed in Afghanistan.

Governor Andrew Cuomo gave the order Wednesday to honor Private Danny Chen, 19, of Manhattan.

Private Chen died Monday in Kandahar. He'll be buried at Kensico Cemetery in Westchester County on Saturday.

He Joined the Army in January and was a member of the 25th Infantry Division stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Private Chen had been in Afghanistan for just two months.

The Army did not disclose how Chen died, but officials say it is under investigation.
