“Inside City Hall,” an hour-long look at New York politics, can be seen on NY1 News weekdays at 7 and 10 p.m.

On last night’s program, we held a debate between two candidates for a State Senate seat in Queens.

Watch a clip of the debate above.

The incumbent, Democrat Joseph Addabbo, and his Republican challenger, Eric Ulrich, squared off on numerous topics, including Addabbo’s vote on the state’s landmark gay marriage bill.

Tonight’s program includes a debate between two candidates competing for a key Brooklyn state senate seat.

Watch NY1 Political Director Bob Hardt discuss some of the stories making news today in this morning's Political Buzz below:

INSIDE THE PAPERS

The New York Times

David Chen reports: “Despite fierce opposition from many of her own neighbors, Christine C. Quinn, the City Council speaker, has brokered a compromise that would allow a developer to build two office towers atop Chelsea Market, substantially expanding the structure that houses the popular food emporium.”

Michael Grynbaum writes up the premiere of a new documentary about former Mayor – and current NY1 Wiseguy – Ed Koch.

New York Post

Shields & Kriss note: “Gov. Cuomo will be sweeping the state today to campaign for Democratic congressional candidates in races that are shaping up to be critical for any chance of the party taking back the House. Cuomo will stump for Long Island Democrat Rep. Tim Bishop, who is in a rematch of his 2010 nail-biter against Republican Randy Altschuler.”

David Seifman reports: “President Obama doesn’t deserve credit for hunting down Osama bin Laden because anyone in his position would have, Mayor Bloomberg charged in a startling knock on Obama’s proudest accomplishment.”

Have a great weekend. Until Monday!
