“Inside City Hall,” an hour-long look at New York politics, can be seen on NY1 News weekdays at 7 and 10 p.m.

On last night’s “Inside City Hall”, editor Joan Walsh joined us to discuss her new book, "What's the Matter With White People?" and talk about the election year battle for working-class voters.

Watch a clip of the segment above.

Tonight’s guests include: Commentator Alan Colmes and Curtis Sliwa and Gerson Borrero with our Political Rundown.

The New York Times

Danny Hakim reports: “Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has called for an investigation into a confidential settlement of sexual harassment claims against a state legislator, but during his tenure as attorney general, his office authorized the settlement of a racial discrimination case that included a confidentiality clause.”
Thomas Kaplan writes: “Indian tribes, racetrack casinos and other gambling interests have spent nearly $50 million on lobbying and campaign contributions in the state since 2005, according to a new analysis by a government-reform group, Common Cause New York.”

New York Post

Sally Goldenberg notes: “After firing a money-management firm for poorly handling the city’s pension funds in 2010, Comptroller John Liu agreed on a separate contract with the same company while bypassing the standard competitive-bidding process, The Post has learned.”

New York Daily News

Glenn Blain writes: “Gov. Cuomo is warning state officials of the necessity of keeping the lid on new spending for at least the next two years.”

Until tomorrow.
