The president canceled a campaign appearance in Florida Monday and returning to Washington to oversee the federal government's response to Sandy.
He had already canceled stops in Virginia Monday and Colorado Tuesday.
Mitt Romney also canceled stops in Virginia, opting instead to campaign with running mate Paul Ryan in Ohio Sunday.
Romney will be in Wisconsin and Iowa Monday.
His campaign says he may have to make other schedule changes because of the storm.
