People in the legal world are mourning the death of an admired lawyer and friend.
Colleagues of Edward Wilford tell NY1 the criminal defense lawyer died of a heart attack on Saturday while attending a jazz concert in central park with his family.
Wilford participated in numerous high profile cases.
He was on the defense team for former City Councilman Larry Seabrook as well as men convicted of taking part in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Africa that killed hundreds of people.
Fellow lawyers praise Wilford for having a great legal mind.
He was 58 years old.
