President Barack Obama is spending the day at the White House after hitting the key battleground state of Wisconsin.

The president arrived home Saturday night after stumping in the home state of Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

Earlier in Milwaukee, Obama said he is working to help every American succeed.

"I'm not fighting to create Democrat or Republican jobs, I'm fighting to create American jobs. I'm not fighting to improve schools in red states or blue states, I'm improving schools in the United States of America," said Obama. "I don't believe in just looking out for workers or businesses or rich or poor or 53 percent or 47 percent, I'm going to look out for everybody."

Republican rival Mitt Romney is stumping in Colorado today after attending fundraisers in California, including one in San Diego attended by diet mogul Jenny Craig.

"I want to hear the whole Jenny Craig story sometime, but one of the things that inspires me as I go across the country is seeing people who have built enterprises to lift themselves and by the way, to employ others. And I know Jenny has done that," said Romney.

Obama and Romney are set to square off in their first debate on October 3 in Denver.
