The man who set off a massive manhunt last month after allegedly stealing a police car in New Jersey is finally in custody.

Police tracked 33-year-old Juan Manuel Mendez-Lazaro to the Madison Hunt Club Apartment Complex in North Wales, Pennsylvania.

He allegedly possessed over five pounds of heroin, narcotics packaging and scales.

A second man, Edward Erne Gomez-Veloz, described as an associate of Mendez-Lazaro, was held for questioning.

Mendez-Lazaro apparently fled to Pennsylvania after stealing an unmarked police car in Fort Lee, N.J. on August 23.

Police say he hit an officer with that vehicle before driving over the George Washington Bridge and ditching the car on Riverside Drive near 123rd Street.

Mendez-Lazaro is being held on $2 million bail.
