"The Secret Life of the American Teenager" has been a breakout hit for ABC Family, but frankly I find the show borderline unwatchable. While I am not a 15-year-old girl, my show of choice remains "Greek."

It actually amazes me that a network like ABC Family dares to air a show like "Greek," which regularly celebrates the joys of underage drinking and last season had one of its main characters engage in a threesome.

Unlike "Secret Life" and other shows on the channel, there are rarely any repercussions or moral dilemmas after the fact. Instead, the party just rolls on. Now I'm not here to judge whether or not this is appropriate for teenagers to be watching, but I do know that it is most likely refreshing for younger viewers to view something that is neither a lesson-dispensing Afterschool Special, nor an over-the-top battle of the rich elite like "Gossip Girl."

"Greek" is just a fun show about college kids finding themselves, their niches, and looking to the future while enjoying the present while they still can. "Greek" has huge long story arcs that can last an entire season or longer, but in truth, they don't matter. It's all about just wanting to hang out with the characters.

People like Cappie, Casey, Calvin, and Ashley are like the group of friends you had, or wished you had, back in college. They don't need to go through huge personal revelations or changes to be entertaining. They're already entertaining enough by being who they are.

So I drink to them, and to "Greek," even if that makes me the creepy dude who already graduated college but is still hanging around campus. I can be that guy.
