Dinosaur - Picture Me
You may not be a cute little dinosaur, but you can imagine you are one with the latest "Picture Me" app. As you probably guessed, "Dinosaur - Picture Me" is like the previous "Picture Me" titles, such as a Christmas-themed app, a bee-themed app and a bunny-themed app.
Take a picture of say, a cute kid or anyone else, zoom and twist it to fit inside an oval and then the photo shows up as the face of one of the dinosaur characters. There are actually slots for eight photos to populate all the characters in the story.
Once the photos are set, the user can zoom into the characters to see the handiwork up close. The story itself is educational, offering up some facts on dinosaurs.
"Dinosaur - Picture Me" is an iOS app for 99 cents.
Cabby Cat & The Missing Cello
Created by a couple of Brooklyn dads, "Cabby Cat & The Missing Cello" is one of the most interactive storybook apps around with interactive sights and sounds. It's a story about a pig who is a world-famous cellist who accidentally leaves behind his very expensive cello in the back of a Big Apple taxi.
Not only is most of what users see on the screen touchable, as with most eStorybooks these days, but in most cases the entire scene is touchable and movable, to both give a different perspective and help advance the story.
Throughout the app there is also original jazz music playing and sometimes users can play along with it.
"Cabby Cat & The Missing Cello" is an iOS app for $2.99.
