Eight new television series will film in New York during the summer, creating 4,700 new jobs.
This comes after the state enacted an expanded $420 million tax credit last year. It’s lured a record number of TV shows to shoot in New York.
Since January, more than 70 movie and TV projects have come to the state, pumping more than $1 billion into the economy.
Most of the projects filmed in the city are shot at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn or Silvercup Studios and Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens.
