The music has gone silent for the iconic Sony Walkman.
After more than 30 years, Sony is pushing the stop button on production of the audio-cassette players.
Originally created in 1979 to allow for music listening on the go, about 220-million Walkmen were sold.
Sales leveled off with the introduction of CD players, and more recently with iPods and other MP3 players.
Sony says sales will continue for now in parts of Asia and the Middle East where cassette tapes are still in demand.
