Zach Bliss is a New Yorker who is trying to learn about the job market by working a different job every day for an entire year. NY1's Employment reporter Asa Aarons filed the following report.

It's morning in Manhattan and thousands of New Yorkers make their way work. Like so many others, Zach Bliss hails a cab, but that's where his resemblance to other commuters ends - since Zach Bliss is the man of a thousand jobs.

Each day, Bliss packs off to a new place of employment.

"I was unemployed for a really long period of time. I wanted to do something creative, so I figured I should just do every job and then write about it," says Bliss.

His blog at iamzachbliss.blogspot.com has accounts of Bliss's adventures as a paddleboard instructor, baker, teepee maker, chess player, personal shopper, bartender, physical trainer, furniture maker and transport driver - all jobs he worked at for one day and one day only.

NY1 caught up with Bliss as he buys props for the set designer of a major advertising agency called Mirrorball. He got the job through someone he met at a party.

"At first I thought he was pulling my leg, because I thought, 'How could anyone possibly do all this?" says Melissa Lander of Mirrorball. "He would be a perfect fit here at Mirrorball."

What better job could there be for a man who transforms himself every day, than to get paid to search through a film prop house. As Bliss moves through the past, future and sheer fantasy of the props warehouse, he shares with NY1 his magic formula for getting hired.

"Being enthusiastic about the job, and genuinely wanting to do a good job, and letting everybody know that that's what I'm going to do," says Bliss. "I'm going to work for you, I'm going to work hard and with each of these jobs I kind of want to be the best employee they've ever had."

It's good advice, even for those of us who are just working on one job.

Bliss admits he hasn't made a lot of money with his daily employment quest, but he hopes his firsthand accounts and video will prove valuable someday.

Already, his enthusiasm and work ethic have proven to be valuable.

"We've decided we're going to find a way to get him out of his one-day gig and we want to hire him full time if possible," says Stephen Papageorge of Mirrorball Group.

But before he settles down, Bliss is determined to complete a full year of working a different job every day.

"I am who I am and what I'm doing is just living out a dream, and that's what it is," says Bliss. "I'm passionate about this project. I think it's fun, and I'm always looking for new work, so if you have a job for me, let me know."
