Stolen Pop Art Painting Returned To Manhattan Owner After 42 Years

Barbara Castelli was presented with her husband's long-missing $4 million Roy Lichtenstein painting in Downtown Manhattan on Tuesday, 42 years after the painting was stolen.
The painting, titled "Electric Cord," vanished in 1970 after Leo Castelli sent it to an art restorer for cleaning.
The 1961 painting was recovered in July at a storage warehouse.
FBI officials traced its whereabouts through an art gallery in Colombia before it wound up back in the city.
Barbara Castelli said she is focusing on where she will hang it now that it has been returned.
"I think I said I'm going to hang it home, if I can find a place to hang it. It's crowded," she said.
By Tuesday evening, U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara had not said whether criminal charges will be filed against anyone responsible in the painting's disappearance.
