NY1's weekly segment "Your Weekend Starts Now" shows entertaining picks for great things to do this weekend all around the city. NY1's Stephanie Simon filed the following report.

The Electric Zoo

First up, it's electric! The Electric Zoo hits Randall's Island this weekend. The three-day festival showcases some of the best electronic music from around the world, including techno, electro, trance, indie dance and more. It goes from morning until night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A one-day pass is $155 and three-day passes are $300.

Dance Party Salute To Michael Jackson

Friday night, it's a dance party salute to the late king of pop, Michael Jackson, at Le Poisson Rouge on Bleecker Street. The Freedom Party NYC is New York City's longest running weekly Friday night dance party and once a year it honors the moves and music of MJ. It starts at 11 p.m. Admission varies from free to $20.

Ben Rimalower's One-Man Show

If you, like many of us, have "Patti Issues," join Ben Rimalower as he deals with his obsession with ultimate Broadway diva Patti Lupone and issues facing LGBT parents and kids. But don't cry for him yet: his one-man show at The Duplex, located at 61 Christopher Street in Greenwich Village, debuts tonight and also plays Sept. 6, 13 and 27. Tickets are $20 with a two-drink minimum.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Not your wallet. In honor of its 50th anniversary return to Broadway, ticket buyers can head to the Booth Theatre Thursday for $50 tickets to all preview performances of Eward Albee's American masterpiece. Previews of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production begin Sept. 27th. The theater is located on West 45th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.
