8th Annual Afropunk Festival

Get out of your musical funk with the 8th Annual Afropunk Festival Saturday and Sunday at Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park. This awesome lineup includes Erykah Badu, TV on the radio, Gym Class Heroes, Janelle Monae and Toshi Reagon. There will also be art, food and more. Plus it's free.

It's easy to be a good sport this weekend when checking out the musical comedy National Pastime at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons on West 42nd Street. It's there through Saturday. Tickets are $35.
