This season offers an exciting mix of performances including an all-time favorite, “Caught.” It's a thrilling strobe light extravaganza that must be seen to be believed. Tickets start at just $10.
Ramsey Lewis At B.B. King Blues Club
www.bbkingblues.comThis Friday night, "Gentleman of Jazz" Ramsey Lewis is bringing his piano stylings to B.B. King Blues Club with shows at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Expect to hear work from his 1974 Sun Goddess album as well as new material. Tickets are $35-40.
Boogaloo At Nublu
www.nublu.netThis Friday night, celebrate the one year anniversary of Boogaloo at Nublu in the East Village. DJ Turmix hosts this monthly Latin boogaloo party. And to celebrate the anniversary, NYC's own boogaloo band Spanish Fly will also perform. The party starts at 11 p.m. Cover charge is $10. Located at 62 Avenue C between 4th and 5th Streets.
O’Jays At The Lehman Center For The Performing Arts
www.lehmancenter.orgAlso this weekend, the legendary O'Jays are bringing their soulful Philly sound to the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts. It’s this Saturday night at 8 p.m. So get on the "Love Train" or the subway and head to the Bronx to hear hits like “Use Ta Be My Girl” and "I Love Music.” Tickets are $55-65 dollars.
Under The Radar Festival
www.undertheradarfestival.comLastly, it's your last chance to find your way to the Under the Radar Festival. It's a look at the best new theater from around the world, and it wraps up this weekend, so take a bite of musical theater offerings, including the glam rocking "Goodbar." Plus, there’s "Alexis: A Greek Tragedy," which is about political corruption and rebellion in Greece. There’s also "In The Solitude of Cotton Fields” done in a punk rock mode. Performances take place at the Public Theater and partner venues around town. Most tickets are around $20. The festival runs through the 15th.
