Holly Williams brought a little bit of the country to Joe's Pub Wednesday night when she performed tunes from her debut CD, "Here with Me."

Her song "Let Her Go" engaged the crowd at Joe's.

"The new CD comes out June 16th. The single came out four weeks ago. I'm really excited about it," says Williams. "It's just a collection of songs I've written over the last three years since the last record came out and it's a little more rootsy."

Holly is the daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and the granddaughter of Hank Williams Sr., both of whom qualify for that over-used word, legend. They were truly legends of country music.

"Hank Sr., you know, the songwriter in me kind of wants to try to follow that as much as anyone possibly can," says the performer. "And then my dad's just a stage persona and he really taught me so much about live performance and how you really have to keep the crowd, you know, into it the whole time."

Holly may be all Nashville, but she loves New York. She performed her new single, "Keep the Change" about the city.
