The crew of US Airways Flight 1549 continued its media tour yesterday with a stop on the "Late Show with David Letterman."
Captain Chesley Sullenberger and co-pilot Jeff Skiles retold the story of landing their emergency landing on the Hudson River last month.
Letterman: "At that point, you take over the aircraft, and then it's your job to try to restart those engines. Is that correct?"
Skiles: "It's true. I failed."
Letterman: "Gave the whole mission a black eye?"
Sullenberger: "It's hard to get good help."
The pilots were joined on the stage by the three flight attendants and were greeted with a standing ovation from the studio audience.
