You won't need a miracle to find delicious kosher food this Hanukkah. NY1 visited two locations in Flushing, Queens listed in Zagat's Gourmet Shopping and Entertaining Guide.

Mazal Kosher Foods
14901 Union Turnpike
Flushing, Queens
(718) 380-2424

Zagat says this unpretentious shop is "the place to go for the occasions when you need" kosher sweets.

Patrons praise the "wonderful kosher candy" as the house specialty that keeps them coming back.

According to the guide, Mazal moved to its current Flushing quarters in 2006, though the extensive all-kosher selection of grocery items and freshly baked pastries imported from Israel "has been around forever."

A lively soundtrack of Israeli music keeps you entertained while shopping.

Out of a possible 30, Mazal gets a 17 for quality, 13 for display and 17 for service. Prices are listed as moderate.

Mauzone
7230 Main Street
Flushing, Queens
(718) 261-7723

Down the street, Zagat recommends the glatt kosher take-out star Mauzone.

Surveyors rave this kosher commissary provides an "outstanding range" of "reasonably" priced foods such as "delicious" fried chicken, kugel and all sorts of "homemade sides."

Beware, the store closes early on Fridays and all day Saturdays for shabbat.

Mauzone gets a 22 for food, 16 for display and 18 for service. Prices are listed as moderate.
