Especially now with the state of the economy, most New Yorkers would never think that they could afford to stay at a hotel chain like the Ritz Carlton. However, as NY1's Valarie D'Elia explains in the following Travel With Val report, some special fall deals make that vacation possible. If you can splurge on the airfare to the Caribbean or Mexico, you'll make up for it on an island getaway this fall at Ritz Carlton resorts in Cancun, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, San Juan, and St. Thomas.
The Ritz Carlton Reconnect package features off-season rates between $269 and $369 a night and includes daily breakfast for two and a $100 daily resort credit for golf, dining or water sports. Rates are valid from October 31st to December 22nd. To book, call 1-800-241-3333 or visit RitzCarlton.com.
Further south in the Caribbean, in what is considered to be outside of the hurricane belt, is the Dutch island of Curaçao. During the Curaçao Now promotion, you can get a $100 airfare credit per person, $140 credit for food and drink, a free rental car for a day, and a free night stay. Deals are available for travel between now and December 15th or May 1 and July 1 of next year. Travelers must book before September 15th for both deals. Call 1-800-328-7222 or go to Curacao.com/now to book.
Now here's a D'Elia's Deal you don't want to miss at Club Med in the off season. A seven-night, all-inclusive vacation costs $888 per adult at its most popular resorts. Children two to three years can stay for $333 and children ages four to 15 can stay for $444.
Club Med's 888 special is available for booking now through August 29th for travel before February 13th.
Call 1-800-CLUBMED or go to ClubMed.us/hotel-deals for more information.
