The city wants to build a new home for the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.
The Economic Development Corporation is requesting proposals from potential developers.
The 10,000-square-foot site is a city-owned lot across from the Apollo Theater, where Mart 125 was once located, before closing in 2001. The space will also house the ImageNation Sol Cinema, an art-house movie theatre.
The developer will be responsible for demolishing the existing structure, and leasing the rest of the new building after its completion.
Submissions are due by July 30th.
