Actor Tony Roberts has been hospitalized after falling ill on a Broadway stage yesterday.

Roberts, 69, was performing in a preview performance of revival "The Royal Family," when he had trouble with his lines and sat down. The curtain went down and the rest of the performance was cancelled.

While there is no official word on what happened, show officials say Roberts was taken to Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in stable condition.

The well-known stage actor is also known for his roles in Woody Allen films including "Annie Hall" and "Hannah and her Sisters."

"The Royal Family" is scheduled to open Thursday as planned.
