Oprah Winfrey brought her show to New York Friday.

Winfrey kicked off her 23rd season this week with a special week of shows culminating with Friday's show, live from Central Park.

The show featured a special Top 10 list from TV host David Letterman, surprise walk-on appearances from actors Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig, an interview with talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa and a performance from singer Mariah Carey.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg also made a brief appearance and was asked what were some of his favorite things about the city.

"I love the things that are unique like Central Park, the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty. But also the rest of the world is here," said the mayor. "You've got Greeks in Astoria, Russians in Brighton Beach, Indians in Jackson Heights and Chinese in Flushing. The whole world is here if you just want to open your eyes and go around a little bit."

At the end of the show, Winfrey announced the latest addition to her book club, a collection of short stories called "Say You're One of Them" by Nigerian author Uwem Akpan.
