Mexico is in recovery mode after the H1N1 swine flu scare debilitated the tourism industry, offering deep discounts to counter deep-seated fears. NY1's Valarie D'Elia filed the following report.Occidental Hotels & Resorts offers free nights, kids free deals with rates as low as $46 per person, per night at six of its all-inclusives through the end of the year.
CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta is offering a family special with rates as low as $162 per night for two adults and two kids 12 and under.
Guests at Posadas' resorts, including AQUA Cancun and the Fiesta Americana Grand and Fiesta Americana properties, can get 50 percent off their nightly rate as well as an additional 25 percent discount on dining, beverage and spa services.
A very affordable Mexican spa is located more than a mile high in the Sierra Madre Mountains and is now discounting rates by 20 percent from July 1st to October 4th. Ixtapan Spa Hotel and Golf Resort is offering a four-night package for $616 per person double occupancy and $80 more if you are going solo.
