Some Lower Manhattan ferry commuters were dropped off at a new $50 million terminal this morning in Battery Park City.

The terminal features five ferry slips for docking, a 22,000 square foot waiting area, and improved amenities.

The ferries drop off passengers from Yonkers, Weehawken, Hoboken, and Jersey City.

One of the busiest terminals in the nation, it now handles 6,100 weekday passenger trips. It's also expected to handle increased ridership from the Goldman Sachs building and the World Trade Center site.

The terminal was built by the Port Authority and will be operated by Billybey Ferry Company.
