The MV-1 is being launched as part of the Access-A-Ride program, and has also been approved for use by the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
The pilot is scheduled to hit streets by the end of January.
As part of the test run, Access-A-Ride will have 30 models in service by mid-February.
The MV-1 is designed from the ground up to be wheelchair accessible.
It has a deployable ramp and can seat five passengers, including wheelchairs and motorized scooters.
The MV-1's list price starts at $40,000.
