Bronx straphangers will soon get a chance to test ride a new service line.
Starting Monday, a new Bronx Express 4 train will begin running Manhattan-bound between Woodlawn and 149th Street on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.
The subway line will skip nine regular stops.
After the train leaves Woodlawn, it stops at Mosholu Parkway but then heads straight to Burnside Avenue.
After Burnside, it does not stop again until 149th Street.
The MTA estimates this shaves 3.5 minutes off the normal 20-minute ride between Woodlawn and 149th Street.
The pilot program ends June 26.
If successful, the service could become permanent.
