In its quarterly report released Wednesday, the Port Authority touted a few major milestones in the rebuilding efforts at the World Trade Center site.

The foundation for the Freedom Tower has been completed with the strongest concrete ever used in a New York City commercial office building.

The report also states 1,600 tons of steel have been installed for the National September 11th Memorial and Museum.

The signature ramp that connected the street level to the memorial area has been removed allowing for more steel installation and excavation work.

The Port Authority Chairman said the agency takes pride in the rebuilding progress, but acknowledges there are still many challenges to face.
