Former Republican presidential candidate John McCain paid a visit to the "Late Show with David Letterman" last night for the first time since the election.
McCain praised President-elect Barack Obama's cabinet choices, especially the nomination of New York Senator Hillary Clinton for secretary of state. He said she will bring instant credibility and a certain amount of celebrity when she travels around the world.
McCain also talked about the time he met disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
"He came to my office one time after he was elected governor, at his request, and told me he was going to be a great reformer. I'm not making that up," said McCain. "He wanted to do like I'd done in the Senate and have all these reforms. I really must have impressed the guy."
McCain upset Letterman back in September when he canceled a scheduled appearance at the last minute, but the two have since patched things up.
