Bloomberg In Europe To Receive Honors

Mayor Michael Bloomberg kicked off his short trip to Europe with a stop in Germany today.
During his full day in Berlin, he is expected to meet with the city's mayor before speaking at a Day of German Unity festival.
Later, he is scheduled to receive an award from the European Respiratory Society.
Tomorrow, Bloomberg will head to London, England, where he is expected to meet with local financial leaders about ways to weather the economic crisis.
He's also scheduled to receive the Honorary Freedom of the City of London, which is similar to a key to the city.
Before heading to Germany, the mayor traveled to Boston, Massachusetts yesterday to help dedicate a pathway being constructed to honor mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers.
The Massachusetts native was accompanied by his mother. He plans to have her name inscribed on the walkway.
