Former president Bill Clinton had some complimentary things to say about Mayor Michael Bloomberg Thursday at Manhattan’s Clinton Global Initiative.
Clinton praised the mayor and went on to speculate about Bloomberg's future.
"I'm not going to say, ‘cause I'll get in trouble if I say what I'm really thinking,” said Clinton. “But let me just say this. There is, in my judgment, no job to be done in America in any area of importance to our future that he would probably not do better than just about anybody else I have ever met. I think he's great."
The mayor has not said whether he supports extending term limits, which would allow him to run for re-election next year.
Bloomberg spoke both Wednesday and Thursday at the forum, talking about public health and the future of cities.
