An unexpected challenger may be throwing his hat into the 2013 race for mayor.
Greg Floyd, president of Teamsters Local 237, told NY1 Friday that he is thinking about running.
"Well today we filed paperwork with the finance board to explore running for a city office. We will make a big announcement when we decide which office we are going to run for, but right now we are exploring our options,” said Floyd.
Floyd said that if he does run for mayor, it will be to support the city's working people.
