Mayor Michael Bloomberg is unveiling a plan to make New York a premier digital City.
City Chief Digital Officer Rachel Sterne said that officials received more than 4,000 reviews of nyc.gov, the municipal website.
Top requests included faster access to digital information, ability to access city information on mobile devices, better ability to use digital tools and better incorporation of social media.
The city is also partnering with Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare to help improve digital interactions with city agencies like 311.
So far, every public library in the city has WiFi, and the new plan will introduce WiFi to other public spaces like parks.
