New Yorkers still say Governor David Paterson should stay in office, despite the two ongoing investigations surrounding him.

A Marist College poll released on Tuesday shows similar results to previous polls that found a majority of voters want the governor to finish out his term.

According to Marist, 68 percent of New Yorkers want Paterson to remain, while 28 percent say he should resign.

Only four percent of New Yorkers polled were unsure.

Not all the polls showed positive results. According to one Siena College poll, 54 percent of voters are now embarrassed to call themselves New Yorkers.
