Senator Kirsten Gillibrand offered up some kind words Wednesday for former potential rival Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney during an appearance in Hell's Kitchen.
Maloney was planning to run against Gillibrand in a Democratic primary for her Senate seat, but withdrew last week.
Gillibrand says she's looking forward to working together with Maloney.
"Congresswoman Maloney has been an extraordinary leader on so many issues, not only is she at the forefront of the credit card debate, to do credit card reforms, but we are working together on the 9/11 health bill, which we as New Yorkers know how important that is because we want to make sure that anybody who worked at that site, anybody who lived at that site has access to the health care that they certainly deserve," Gillibrand said.
Gillibrand is not expected to face a primary challenge from any other Democrats.
